With so many insurance companies offering wedding insurance, trust me, you can afford to be picky. Like everything else related to your wedding, you want to make a smart choice when it comes to the insurance policy. So what should you look for in a policy that will insure your dream day?

1. No Deductible

First of all, check to see if there is a deductible for the coverage of the policy. The losses should also be paid up to the coverage limit.

2. Affordability

This is definitely an important factor, considering all the mounting expenses for the wedding.  There are policies around $110 to $160, and that already include all the important aspects of the wedding that you would want to have insured.

3. Application Process

The last thing you want is a rigorous application process for the wedding insurance. When you’re pressed for time, you can’t afford to dedicate an entire day for getting insurance, when there are other companies that will only take you minutes to apply. In fact, some companies are even willing to receive applications via email.

4. Fast and Easy Claim Services

Easily one of the most important factors you should consider is the claim service. Check the availability of the insurance company. Why go for a company with poor customer service and that is almost always unreachable when there are companies that are available around the clock, including weekends?

5. No Hidden Charges

Is there a surcharge for destination weddings? Will there be an additional premium for additional insured? Are you sure there are no hidden charges? When choosing wedding insurance, check if there are any hidden charges.

6. Customer Service Quality

You would find out from the initial point of contact if the customer support is reliable. The company should have a dedicated support line that can address your concerns. You don’t want to have to go looking for answers yourself, with no customer service to assist you.

When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and
now each time a comment is added I get three emails with the same comment.
Is there any way you can remove me from that service?
